Forsaken Voyage (Top 50 Winner) by magicwaffles123 Forsaken Voyage (Top 50 Winner) by magicwaffles123
My realistic-ish rendition of The Forsaken Fortress from Zelda Wind Waker. I made this piece for the Zelda Wind Waker HD Fan Art Contest, which won in the top 50! I tried to keep the basic shape of the fortress as well as link and his ship, but still making realistic textures. I guess you could say I chose cartoony colors too, I really like the warm and cool colors. Can you spot Ganondorf and the Helmaroc King?

This makes me think of the backlash that people had with Wind Waker's cartoon art style, and what else it might have looked like. I like this a lot though, the colours, lighting and shading just looks really nice.

Haha, Its funny if you look at my process of making this piece, it looked pretty boring! On one of the last days my dad walked up to me and looked at the picture. He said I should make the water a big sphere and that is what made this picture!

Can I reblog this on another site for an article I'm writing?  It will be credited, of course.  (And, if you agree, how do you want it credited?)  It's just fantastic.

You should definitely upload this from other angles after you give them the same TLC as this. Best thing in your gallery by far
